2011 September 28
Previous week I was in Germany in city Bremerhaven. There took place international exchange for the topic “Discrimination and Integration”. Participants came from 6 countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, Armenia, Germany, Poland and Ukraine, so we were 30 members.
I was a leader of polish group and every two days we had leaders-meetings in which we were planning the program for next days.
Each country had its national evening. There we can present our national songs or dances, also dishes and drinks, tell some interesting facts about our countries, show videos… I really liked this. In such a way you can learn a lot about different places.
We also visited museum of immigration, very interesting place. It is about people who left Germany from the harbor of Bremerhaven from 1850 until now and how they or their descendants are living now.

Mid-term training in Kazimierz Dolny |
2011 September 8
In the end of August I was in mid-term training in Kazimierz Dolny. It is small nice town near Lublin. I really enjoyed this week. I met a lot of my friends from on-arrival and also got acquainted with new people. We were 16 volunteers there. Program of training was not so complicated. We had chance to choose the topic of the discussions. We made exercises for self-assessment, projection on our future life after EVS, and got a lot of fun during sessions in the city. Exercises were helpful and useful. In evenings we had free time and we always spent it together talking and getting to know each other. But we were rather sad as we understood that more than half of our projects already gone…

2011 June 28
Sabrina went home on June 12. Yesterday Alexandra also went home. I really miss them... Seren and Gezde are leaving tomorrow, Tamara the day after tomorrow, and Alexander in a week. New volunteers will arrive in the beginning of September.
June 11th, we went to church. We were invited to Gabi’s wedding ceremony. Gabi, of course, was the most beautiful J It was very interesting for us to go to such a ceremony, because no one of the seven volunteers is Catholic. I really like in Catholic Church, to my mind it has many beautiful traditions.

2011 June 02

During May and June we are making promotion of SWIP and EVS in different places. We have the exhibition with our photos and quotations, which was made with the great help of our ex-volunteers - Eduardo, Francesca, Mariana, Vesturs, Lisa, and Larisa!
In May 17 we had a meeting with Polites, a nongovernmental organization in Szczecin, which is as well as SWIP hosting and sending EVS volunteers. We have prepared various dishes from our countries for everyone to try them and brought traditional music. We got acquainted and talked with many different people from organizations and with ex-EVS volunteers and watched a movie about EVS in Poland. The evening was very sincere and interesting for me.
